Celebrate fall with the entire family by trying one of these fun activities!
Play in the fall leaves.
Head out into the yard or to the park with the kids and have fun frolicking among the pretty leaves. Don’t forget to snap some photos while you’re at it!
Watch a Halloween movie.
Cuddle up on the couch together, fire up a movie or your favourite online streaming service, and break out the popcorn.
Decorate some pumpkins.
You don't need knives for this fun and easy activity: simply grab paint and glitter and unleash your creativity. Each family member can decorate their own pumpkin, or why not work on a big one as a team?
Many of our favorite traditions involve gathering in the same place with friends and extended family. But even if you can’t be in the same room, there are still plenty of creative ways to honor and enjoy these time-tested rituals at home.
Here are a few ideas to inspire your next celebration, and to help keep those incredible traditions alive!
Since we’re all spending more time at home, why not explore some home cooking together over video chat? It’s the perfect opportunity to share and pass down traditional recipes that have been in your family for generations.
Gather your family together for a little bit of friendly competition featuring games or activities you normally reserve for special occasions. A traditional game of Loteria is a great place to start, and creating your own boards is a fun activity for the whole family.
Whether you’re in the mood for some classic tunes, or perhaps something a little more modern — keeping your home alive with the sounds of your own culture is a great way to stay connected to your family’s traditions. Don’t forget to practice those dance moves, too!
Can’t make it to the stadium? Put on all your favorite fan gear, bust out the flags, and support your home team from your living room or backyard. You can even try recreating some of your favorite stadium snacks at home!
Because actions speak louder than words!
1. Make them breakfast.
It could be as simple as some toast with peanut butter and a sliced banana or a bowl of oats. Or better yet, you could pull out all the stops and impress your better half with this surprisingly simple Hashbrown Waffle Breakfast Stack.
2. Do an activity of their choice.
When’s the last time you did something just because the other person wanted to?
3. Cuddle before falling asleep.
Put away your phone and actually spend time with your significant other before you both doze off.
